TREAT YOUR FEET
Summer’s almost over, so put your best foot forward while you still can.

Moisturization
I’m going to put it out there: The spa pedicure for dry feet at Eshe Day Spa (8 S. Michigan, 312/629-0376, $58) is the best pedicure I’ve ever had. Besides the open, airy spa decorated in earth tones – and the fresh fruit and white wine they serve – my callused, angry feet got some serious lovin’ courtesy of multiple moisturizers, a callus remover/control mask and my first-ever paraffin wax. “The callus control mask helps bring toxins out and dissolves them,” says nail technician llva Sotiraj. She also informs me the foot scraper commonly used in salons is actually illegal for sanitation purposes; I’m dismayed at the thought of my calluses staying put until she rinses the mask off my feet and literally runs her fingernail along my feet. “See the dead skin?” she asks as it flakes off. Uh, yeah, and it’s gross. Thank goodness it’s gone.
