A World Traveler Relaxes
I originally went to Eshe Day Spa in 2009 as a Valentine's gift to my husband. We were the last appointments of the day but you would never know it. Everyone greeted us as though we were the first customers of the day and they did not rush through the services. I then surprised my husband in February 2010 with a spa day for his birthday and he came home stating that the massage was the best that he has ever experienced. We are well traveled individuals and always go to the spa whenever we travel so this spoke volumes. I can not wait to book my next spa day at the new location. (January 2011)
A Guy's Take on the Spa Experience
A spa? In the Loop? Is this some sort of oxymoronic joke? Nope. It's for real. And Eshe should demand your serious attention. I wanted a place for a couples massage that (1) wouldn't bulldoze my puny bank account, (2) didn't exist only in some far-flung suburb, and most importantly, (3) was classy. A quick check of Eshe's website satisfied the first condition...A address satisfied the second. And by setting one foot onto the premises, I was able to satisfy the third.
But let's get down to the gritty details. I'm a guy not accustomed to such things as "day spas" and "couples massages." The staff here was more than understanding. At no point was it awkward or uncomfortable. In fact, once the massage started, I forgot all about the primary, secondary, and tertiary conditions listed above, it was that good. (November 2010)
Amazing Grace
I took my fiance to Eshe for his birthday. We both received facials and massages. This was our first massage and our Massage Therapist, Grace, put us both at the greatest of ease. The Spa itself was so quiet and serene, and the service that we received did more than match the atmosphere. I definitely plan on returning, and I reccomend this spa to anyone looking for a great expirence without the pretention. (February 2009)
Happy and Relaxed in the city
I have been to many spas around Chicago and I go to them any time I travel so I have seen all kinds of places. But for me this was truly a gem in the city. Every one from the front desk to the person I saw cleaning was helpful and friendly. I was lead to the spa area and you could tell this place was clean.
I was offered a drink everything from water to wine. I then was shown to the dressing room to change into my robe and shoes and returned back to the waiting area to finish my drink. The therapist came and to me to start my service. I received a Customized Facial and a Chemical Peel with Sharon and must admit it was one of the best facials I have ever had not to mention I looked great! I had a wonderful massage and a pedicure where they tell you how they sanitized the equipment great Huh! I am now making this my spa in the city. (April 2008)
